Bo Jangles Pub, Marsalforn, Gozo

Bo Jangles is a pub which also serves food. The place is situated a few metres walk from the seafront in Marsalforn, and is easy to find.

Your hosts are Stuart and Lyn, as well as Russell and Kerry - it is a family run business, and all members of the Bo Jangles family are always very friendly, curteous and keen to assist in any way.

The pub has several large televisions and often features football games from around the world.

Food comes in all shapes and sizes - from the excellent burger to Lyn's famous giant Yorkshire puddings! Quality of food is always excellent.

As well as the marvellous staff and food, BoJangles has an array of different draught beers, including Stella and Guiness - and it has to be said, they serve the best pint of Guiness on Gozo, without a doubt.

Go there!

Tickety-Boo / Mill Rooms, Rabat, Gozo

We arrived at the restaurant at 7pm to find the place entirely empty, nobody behind the bar. After standing around for about twenty minutes some members of staff arrived. Phew.

To look at the place is quite something. For Gozo, the place is big, with an open air area upstairs, and bar downstairs. Traditional Gozitan architecture is married with buddhist statues, sayings, and more. It gives the place quite a bohemian atmosphere, and the music was not your standard restaurant crap.

Service, once it had arrived was adequate. The menu, which I believe has changed recently, includes a lot of lunch type dishes, salads and stir fry. There was also a pretty good wine list.

The food was reasonably priced for what it was - and the stir fry came in large portions. All in all, a thumbs up.

The place is owned by Billy Connolly's manager.

Chez Amand, Marsalforn, Gozo

Chez Amand is located in Qbajjar, past the end of the promenade, going west towards the Salt Pans, Amand is easy to find.

Amand (from Belgium) is serious about food. I have had the pleasure of eating at Amand's many times this year and food has always been absolutely top class. Definitley above the fold of most Gozo restaurants.

Meat is particularly well presented and cooked - with fillets of fine beef available in various mouth watering formats.

Amand is very keen to hear how his food tasted, as well as being extremely approachable and fun.

I also visited Amand's place with children and the attention and service they received was fantastic. Not to be missed. Very child friendly, and Amand speaks many different languages.
